BUD MANTY Obituary

BUD (EINO KARL) MANTY July 23, 1930 ~ October 13, 2025
Bud passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 13, 2025.

He was employed at Couch's Store in South Gillies for a number of years and following this he was a grader operator for the MTO.

The next 33 years were spent as an officer with the O.P.P.

In 1987 upon retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends in Tucson, Arizona and at the Cloud Lake Camp.

He is survived by Hester, his wife of 71 years, his children Rod (Betty), Judith, Charlene (Devin), grandson Nolan (Michele), great grandson Nicholas and granddaughter Sarah.

Bud was predeceased by his mother Caroline, father Eino, and his siblings Laura Faldon, Ruth Giba, Francis Kivinen and Eric Manly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street, Thunder Bay, on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with eulogy to be read at 12:00 noon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.

He will be missed
