Carol Daniels Obituary

Carol was an incredible woman, who lived an incredible life. Everywhere she went she brought kindness, light and love. Always smiling, laughing and making the people (and animals) around her feel at home. Carol was born in 1960, to Shirley and Alan Spicer. She was the youngest of 4. She met the love of her life, Terry, at the young age of 13. They fell in love and married when Carol was 19, creating a wonderful life together. They had two daughters and were later blessed with two granddaughters. Carol loved her family, there was nothing she would not do for them. She was beyond proud to become a Grandma and was a loving and attentive "Grammie" to all of her grandchildren. She loved going to camp at Arrow Lake with Terry. She loved playing cards, shopping and planting flowers. She loved walking her dog, sitting on the deck in the sunshine and watching a movie on the couch Saturday nights. Christmas was her favourite time of year. She adored sitting in the evening looking at the lights, putting up the tree with Terry and her daughters and Christmas Eve dinner. Her strength and love will be forever missed, but are here in her family. We can feel her in our hearts and strive to follow in her footsteps. Carol taught us how to love. She taught us how to care for others. But most importantly she taught us the love of family. The family would like to thank everyone involved in her care. As per Carol's request there will be no funeral service. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the animal shelter of your choice would be greatly appreciated. We will not say goodbye, so instead, until we can see you again. Carol asked we include a snippet of one of her favourite poems;

“I am the sunlight
on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken
in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds
in circled flight.
I am the soft stars
that shine at night.
Do not stand
at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.”

Dear Terry and family
You wrote such a heartwarming and loving tribute for Carol. It brought back memories from Arrow Lake where we loved having you as friends and neighbours. We are very sad about Carol's passing and know that you all gave her such loving and tender care. Now she gives you strength and love to carry on. You have many, many beautiful memories to cherish. Keep the good times and each other so close as you grieve and remember her. We have made a donation to the Cancer Society in fond memory of Carol. Arlene and Morley Wiseman
