Summers were spent at camp at West Green Bay from 1952 - 2011. Summers meant the family joining her and Ken for weekends with suppers, card games, Scrabble, bonfires, and Bocce Ball. There was a large garden with lots to give to family and friends. Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed visits to the casino. She enjoyed over 40 years of curling, 40 plus years with the S&B group (Knitting Club), and cribbage at the West Arthur Community Center. She was a secretary for the Westfort Community Center for 22 years and spent her nights doing crafts which included painting, cross-stitch and Norwegian weaving to name a few. Carol also handmade Christmas Ornaments for 16 family members every year for 39 years.
Carol leaves to mourn, her son Ronald McEachern, daughter Deborah Trochimchuk (Mark Desjardins), stepsons David MacDonald (Carol) in Calgary, Marshall MacDonald in Carman, Manitoba, her grandchildren, whom she loved very much, Quinn McEachern, Ryan Trochimchuk (Carolyn Sutyor), Jake McEachern (Zach) and step grandson Alex Desjardins, her brother Don Parsons (Paula) in Guelph, and their children Clara Parsons (Mike Ennis), Julia Kyle (Gerry), Nathan Parsons (Holly), and Alison Sommers (Kirk), great niece and nephews Paula Kyle, Declan Kyle, and Conner Parsons, her in-laws Lorne (Pam), Angus (Linda), Gordon (Berta), Margaret (Bob, Deceased), Lorna (Paul), their Families, as well as her grand fur pets McCoy, Catnis, Lily, Mystic, and Nova.
Carol is predeceased by the love of her life husband Ken (2013), her parents Bill and Dorothy Parsons, her mother and father in-law Hugh and Kathleen Theodochia MacDonald, and her brother and sister-in-law Don and Edna MacDonald.
Cremation has taken place and we invite family and friends to join us in a Celebration of Life to be held at the West Arthur Community Center (1914 West Arthur Street) Sunday, February 12 from 2:00pm.-4:00pm.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff at the TBRHSC Cancer Center for their care and kindness through 2 bouts of chemo for mom and 1 for Ken. Thank you to Dr. R. Williams and Dr. Kolobov for all their help and compassion over the last 4 years, and to the doctor, nurses, and staff of Southbridge Lakehead Manor. Deepest condolences to Debbie and the rest of Carol's family. I fondly remember her at S&B at mum's house when I was growing up. We lived close to one another the for several years and I often ran into her at Northwood mall or along the river trails. She will be missed.

So many wonderful memories of celebrating Christmas at the Westfort Community Centre and at their home both on Arthur St. and LaHacienda when the moved into their apartment. I still have those handmade ornaments.
The times spent 'at camp' the early mornings getting ready to go fishing or just visit for lunch meant a lot to me. Thank you for being a big part of my life.
Deepest sympathies to Ron, Debbie, and their children, Don & Paula and their children.
