CAROLINE MAGEE Obituary

CAROLINE FLORENCE MAGEE (nee Ibey) December 11, 1954 ~ February 6, 2025
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Magee at the age of 70 - wife, mother, sister and most proudly, Gummy, to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol was born in Port Arthur, Ontario and married her high school sweetheart Doug. They moved from Geraldton to Thunder Bay and together, had 3 children. Her family was her pride and joy.

She loved to spend time out at camp on Pike Lake and more recently at Wildgoose Lake. Camp was her happy place along with winters away in Lakeland, Florida.

She will be forever missed by her devoted husband of 53 years, Doug, who provided unwavering love and support to her, especially in the past year and by her children Clinton "Snuffy" Magee (Carla) and Kelly Magee-Adams (Jason).

She leaves behind her grandchildren Travis Magee, Alexandria Lafontaine (Brad), Kyler Lafrance, Jadyn Adams, Easton Adams, Tristan Magee and Addea Magee and 5 great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her daughter Tracey Magee and her mother Florence Ibey.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ibrahim, Dr. Ramchandar, Laura Hendren and Drs. Ward and Simpson. A very special thank you to Dr. Stewart Kennedy for being a pillar of strength to us all.

Much gratitude to Pat and Dawn Magee for putting their lives on hold to help us care for Carol in the past year. To her brother-in-law Ezra, thanks for always checking in on her. To her nephew Tony and sister Linda Santos, your support and visits meant the world to her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Regional Cancer Center Northwest - TBRHSC.

A private ceremony will be held for the immediate family at a later date.

Such sad news. Doug, Kelly, Snuffy and families you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Not a day goes by without thinking of the wonderful memories that were made at Cushing Lake. Memories of her infectious laugh, her determination to "kick butt" in Tuk, always put a smile on my face. Carol was such a proud Mother and Grandmother and wife. She will be missed by us all.
Sending you all our love .
