After a courageous battle with cancer, Carolle passed away on Sunday, September 15th at the age of 54.Born in Quebec City January 12, 1948, Carolle moved to Red Rock and then to Thunder Bay. She met Douglas W. Cameron and they were married May 24th, 1967. Together they raised three children. Carolle was employed as a waitress by Playtime Lanes, Mario's Bowl and Thunder Lanes. She loved working with people making many friends over the years. Carolle was an avid 5 pin bowler which she especially enjoyed, and for the last five years her trailer at Shebandowan was her love and sitting around the campfire bringing much laughter to friends and family gave her much
joy.Carolle is survived by her husband Doug, parents Mr. and Mrs. R. Paquette of Montreal; three children: Bill Cameron of Edmonton, Wendy Cameron of Winnipeg and Doug Jr. of Thunder Bay. Grandson Zachary of Victoria BC; sister Andrée (Paul) Henderson of Burlington; two brothers: Pierre (Muriel) Paquette of Nipigon and Denis (Cindy) Paquette of Thunder Bay. She was predeceased by her brother Guy in 1979. Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, officiated by Deacon Lyle Manary. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Carolle's memory to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.
