Cheyanne Nikkoal McLaughlin

Miss Cheyanne Nikkoal McLaughlin, 13 years, of Nipigon, Ontario, passed away with her father Dustin, on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Dryden, Ontario, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Cheyanne was known to many as Chey, Chey-Chey, the Choy and Itty Bitties. Cheyanne was beautiful, smart and witty, quick to respond with her humour. She was athletic, aspiring to be better, trying her hardest. She helped out at home and with her younger siblings. She was very loving to her family, selfless - always thinking of others and ready to help in any way. She made everyone laugh and smile with her humour, funny voices, and affectionate smile and giving hugs to all her family and friends. Her resolutions were to be more helpful around the house and to get better grades even though she was already a good student. She enjoyed fishing and the outdoors and loved all kinds of music from Metallica, Nickelback to Korean Pop (except Uncle Ryan's). #Trigger. All who knew Cheyanne loved her. She is survived by her mother Kimberly (Randy Oja) of Nipigon, sisters – Tori and Lillian, brothers – Dominic, Zachary and Randolph, grandparents – Jackie Belanger (Joe Morris), Dennis (Sherry) McLaughlin, Kevin Renner, Paul (Marjorie) Robert, Ken (DeeDee) Oja, her aunts and uncles – Jessy McLaughlin (Amanda). Dillon McLaughlin, Jamie Penman (Tony), Kenny Penman (Robin), Ryan Robert, Melissa Robert (Drew), Candace (Josh) Tuck, Jessica Robert (Jon), cousins – Sebastien, Julien (called her twin), Tristen, Chloe, (mini me to) Kyra, Kiersten, Jacob, Caleb, David, Amber, Trinity, Tegan, Jordyn, Jada, Damien, Kortana, Lexi, Saleen, Dayson and Daniel. Numerous other relatives also survive. Resting at the Resource Centre at Lake Helen Reserve where friends may call after 4 P.M. on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Prayers will be offered there on Sunday at 5 P.M. The funeral mass for Cheyanne and Dustin will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Church of the Annunciation, Nipigon with Father H. Augustynowicz officiating. Cremation will follow with interment of cremains with her father at a later date. Friends so wishing may make donations to the Sick Children's Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Arrangements are in the care of Elliott Funeral Home Ltd., Nipigon, Ontario.
