CHIYEKO (HAYASHI) DULUDE
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chiyeko Dulude of Thunder Bay, age 82, on December 4, 2025, peacefully of cancer. Mom retired in 2012 from Grandview Lodge after 47 years of service. She was a loving human being who was inspired by everyone that she met. Chiyeko is survived by her daughter Kelly Dawne, stepson Kenji (Nicole) Masuda, brother Tosh, sister-in-law Catherine and adopted brother Jim Broomfield. She is also survived by 7 grandsons who meant the world to her, Steven and Tyler Dulude, Brandon, Justin and Ethan Hayashi, Aaron and Joshua Masuda, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Kaneko and Chu, stepmom Naoko, son Michael (10 years ago), sisters Lucille, Alice and Nori (in infancy), brother Sandy, Arnie and Bruce. Cremation has taken place, and as per her wishes, there will be no funeral. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank the staff of TBRHSC and St. Joseph's for the loving care that Chiyeko received. We would like to thank anyone who offered continuous support during this difficult time. If friends and family so desire, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to "Make A Wish Foundation" or George Jefferies. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
