CLAUDE CREVIER Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family of our dear brother, son, uncle, great uncle & friend to many must share the difficult news that Claude Crevier has passed away on Sept 11, 2024 surrounded by family after a brief illness. Claudie was born on June 28, 1957, in Nipigon District Memorial Hospital and he hit the ground running. He knew how to keep his parents on their toes with his many antics. He held many jobs but the last 38 years he worked for CP Rail on many divisions, recently on the "tie gang" where he made many lasting friendships, which is no surprise since he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Since he was young, he had a passion for the Great Lake ships. He often went down to the Thunder Bay Marina, large double double by his side and his binoculars in hand, watching the ships for hours. He had a tracker app on his phone & followed their whereabouts. He also got to see the ships go through the Welland Canal which he talked about often. He once drove the Lake Superior Route and had many stories to tell. He had a large assortment of sports memorabilia which he was very proud of. He also loved the Chicago Blackhawks but his brother Jean also gave him the concert bug. They saw some gooders together, but his pride and joys were his niece, nephews and more recently, his great niece. He had a heart of gold and put himself ahead of everyone he cared about. He loved to travel and the past few winters he looked forward to going to Alberta to stay with his family where he forged some lasting friendships. Claude was just about ready to retire and looked forward to moving to Alberta. Left to keep his memory alive are his brothers; Jean (Rose Ann) and Daniel (Jazz), nephews; Richard (Eugene), Christoper, Mason and Riley; niece Kristy-Lynn (Davey) and great niece Libi Hanna, whom he adored. Claude was predeceased by his parents Aza & Jeanne, his brother Richard, niece Sierra in infancy, and his best buddy Gilly. The family would like to thank the medical staff and first responders of both the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital and Thunder Bay Hospital for their care and compassion. An extra big thank you to our always dependable families Tante Marie and cousins Roland and Jocko and the Tremblay family. We are so grateful to have you's in our lives. Thank you for your compassion & love and all those awesome meals. Thank you to Debbie and Nene for looking over him and keeping him comfortable. Thank you to his favourite drivers Roach, Gus and Flex for helping him get to where he needed to go, even if he didn't know where he was going. A huge shout out to his good friend Pat from the "Tie Gang", the Trudell family of Kapuskasing Ontario, Margarette Sarrasin and the meat draw gang from Branch 226 and to all the C.P Rail people he worked with over a 38 yr career. We've only met some of you but we know you all by name. If so desired, donations in Claude's memory can be made to the Red-Rock seniors bus or a Charity of Your Choice. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. Whenever someone says "your family must've really had to be on their toes with such a prankster around" we just smile & say "Oh, I see you've met Claudie"!!

Claudie, you were truly one of a kind and we will miss you forever.
