DARCIS Cody James Darcis, 20 years young with an old soul, resident of Thunder Bay passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 24th, laying down in touch with Mother Nature. Born on February 17th, 1992. Attended Claude Garton, graduated Hammarskjold High School. Spoke highly of Mr. Ludwig and Mr. Oliver, two outstanding teachers that left an impression on Cody, even though he did not believe in the system. Cody possessed great creativity and entrepreneurial skills. His first sale was selling popcorn at a yard sale. Cody believed in working together and loved the idea of community. He was never afraid to speak his mind and loved to share his vision of a better world for everyone. He was employed by West 49, City of Thunder Bay, Youth Zone, Dufresne's and The Power Centre. He had a great impact on the skateboarding community. Cody enjoyed travelling to the West Coast, hanging out and meeting up with old friends Adam Hopkins, Chris Johnson, Max Bayko and Johnnie and always making more friends that anyone could imagine. Good friends Shawn Huls, Travis Huortari, Brodie Radford and Madison Clauson, just to mention a few. Cody was a charismatic, highly intelligent, free spirited, gentle, understanding person. He was loving towards everything and anybody, connected to everyone he met and possessed internal wisdom and knowledge. There's not enough words to express Cody's natural ability to be drawn towards people to encourage them to find themselves and follow their hearts. Cody was beyond his years. His last month he verbalized the importance of loving everyone and to love and respect Mother Earth. Cody was here for a purpose. In the end, Cody completed his time on this earth and now has moved on to another journey to do his work. Cody is survived by parents Dave and Michele Darcis, siblings Katie and Brennen, grandmother Irene Darcis, grandfather Bob and Wendy, aunts Susan Lubak, Anita Molnar, Holly Molnar, uncles Robin, Dennis, Eric, Steven Molnar, Phil and Paul Darcis, John Swaggert, cousins Uriel Lubak, Andrew and Dereck Molnar, Kyle and Ryan Swaggert. Predeceased by grandmother Crystal Molnar. A celebration of his life will take place at Current River Rec. Centre on Sunday, December 30th, 2012 from 1-5pm with a speech at 3pm by Rev. Hugh Walker. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or Shelter House would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be made through
