Daniel Paker Obituary

BROOKS & PARKER Michelle Megan Parker and Daniel Kyle Brooks were tragically taken from family and friends too soon. They passed away on Saturday March 22nd, 2014 which was Michelle's 28th birthday. They were two of the sweetest and most loving people who have touched so many lives in some way or another. They are now together forever up in heaven as our sweet angels. They were planning their marriage for the near future. Michelle was loved by all and she will be most remembered by her smile, her laugh and by her many other characteristics. Michelle loved to spend time with family and friends, especially her niece and nephew. She enjoyed crafts, bowling, the casino and anything to do with hair, makeup or nails. Michelle and Daniel were inseparable and seemed to be attached at the hip...this is the way they will remain forever. Daniel was born on April 1st, 1985 in Thunder Bay. He had attended and graduated from Algonquin Public School, Hammarskjold High School and then went on to Lakehead University, where he earned his Bachelor of Education Degree. When he was 16, Daniel had worked at Robins Donuts and then later started full time as an Educator at Thunder Bay Aboriginal Head Start. He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, bowling, cooking, fishing, and playing crib or scrabble with his family and friends. Daniel was always a pleasure to be around. His charismatic nature made people feel at ease. He brought joy into the life of so many. He was helpful, courteous and would always leave you with a smile. Dan was the sunshine in his parent's lives; their morning, noon and night. Michelle is survived by her mother Christine, her sister Emily (Jason) Picard, her niece Kaitlyn, her nephew Kendrick, her grandmother Mary Anderson and grandparents Marilyn and Gerry Parker, her aunts; Susan Kowalchuck, Carolyn Anderson, Judie (Gord) Bradshaw, and Laura Boucher, her uncles; David Anderson and Robert (Pauline) Parker as well as numerous cousins and other relatives. She was predeceased by her father Ron Parker, her grandfather John Anderson and her uncle Dave Kowalchuck. Daniel will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents; Terry and Linda Brooks, his uncles; Bill Brooks, Fred (Patti) Brooks, David (Kathy) Patreau, Jim Patreau, his aunts; Carol Brooks and Christine (Rick) Nyszczuk as well as by numerous cousins and other relatives. He was predeceased by his grandparents; Ed and Margaret Brooks and Lloyd and Helen Patreau and by his aunt Sandra Lieuful. A Funeral Service for both Michelle and Daniel will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday March 28th, 2014 in the Chapel of the HARBOURVIEW FUNERAL CENTRE, 499 North Cumberland Street, officiated by Rev. Chris Harper of St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church. Visitation for family and friends will be offered one hour prior to service time. If anyone so desires, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Thunder Bay Aboriginal Head Start, Sick Kids Hospital Toronto or to the charity of your choice. The families of Michelle and Daniel would like to extend a special thanks to the first responders that were working that night.
