DANIEL PENASSIE
Mr. Daniel Andrew Penassie (Waboose), age 79 years, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025 in the T.B.R.H.S.C. with family by his side.
Danny was born on March 13, 1946 in Fort William, Ontario. He grew up in Raith, ON later moving to Thunder Bay, ON with his wife Margaret. He worked in the bush as a Skidder/Chainsaw Operator, and Surveyed in Shebandowan and did many odd jobs until his retirement in 2001.
Danny and Margaret first met in Kashabowie in 1967, getting married in 1968; they rekindled their marriage in 2002. He loved cone picking, going to bingo/casino with his wife and spending time with family.
Danny will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret Penassie; children Danny Jr (Jessica) Penasie, Darcy Penasie, Georgina Primeau; grandchildren Liana, Dillon, Jesse, Cole, Dustin, Dakota, Troy, Shaelyn and many great grandchildren; siblings Ron Penassie, Julie (Norman) Vacca.
He was predeceased by his daughter Livia Penasie; parents Amelia Penassie, Edward Louis Jr; siblings Theresa (Joe) Vacca, Linda (Sam) Nevala.
The family of Danny would like to thank everyone who came to offer their sincere condolences.
A celebration of Danny's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in the R. Leino Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, presided by Rev. Mr. Michael Robinson. Visitation will begin one hour prior, at 12:00 Noon. Cremation will follow the service.
The service will be livestreamed at www.harbourviewfuneral.ca where condolences may be offered as well.
