Daniel Peterson

It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family of Daniel (James) Peterson announces his unexpected passing on May 16th, 2023 at the age of 63. During Daniel's younger years he attended Hammarskjold High School and then went on to working at Abitibi Provincial Paper Mill where he worked many different jobs and with great accomplishment worked his way up to becoming a Supervisor. At the age of 27 Daniel welcomed his oldest son Jeffrey followed by Chris and Justin. Daniel instantly became a family man and cherished every memory he and his family made at their beloved camp at Pine Point Resort on Lac Des Mille Lacs. Daniel instilled his love of fishing and camping onto all of his sons. Daniel is survived by and will be forever missed by his sons Jeffrey (Carli), Chris, Justin, their mother Yvonne and his beloved granddaughters Brandi and Tori Peterson whom he all loved so full heartedly. Daniel will also be forever missed by his common-law partner of 4 years Barb Hay, her daughters Amanda Scott (Will), Jennifer Hay (Shane) and Melissa Hay. Also her grandchildren Avery Scott, Daniel Keefe, Lexi Kaplanis and Anthony Kaplanis who he loved unconditionally. As per Daniel's wishes there will be no ceremony at this time.
