DANNY FLOYD Obituary

FLOYD
Danny Marcel Floyd, aged 76, passed away peacefully in Vancouver, BC on March 26, 2025. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 11, 1948. Danny moved to Thunder Bay at the age of seven. He spent his formative years in Port Arthur and Fort William where he graduated from Westgate High School. Following graduation, he relocated to Minneapolis, MN where he pursued an Art Degree at The Minneapolis College of Art and Design that paved the way for a successful career as an Art Director in Toronto and London, Ontario. Throughout his life, Danny was deeply devoted to his family. He met Margaret in Toronto and they enjoyed a loving marriage for 48 years. Together, they raised two beautiful daughters, Elizabeth and Julien (Bracken), who brought immense joy into their lives. Danny was also a proud grandfather, cherishing the time spent with his grandchildren: Winston, London, Brindle, Grey and Rowe. He was part of a large family, with brothers: Jack (Cindy), John (Patty), Ken (Melanie), and sisters: Nancy (Vern) and Terry (Barry) as well as many nieces and nephews, who all shared fond memories of their time together. In lieu of a funeral, a small family gathering is planned for a later date to honour his memory. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, reflecting Danny's generous spirit and the love he shared with those around him.

Played a little golf with Danny during high school days. Remembered his infectious chuckle to the point that 20 years on I heard it lunching in a restaurant in Toronto. Walked over to the table to check it out and it was him! RIP Danny
