DARLENE KAMSTRA Obituary

DARLENE KAMSTRA March 22, 1953 - December 10, 2024
Mrs. Darlane (Linda) Kamstra, age 71 years, passed away peacefully in Southbridge Lakehead Manor on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

She was born on March 22, 1953 in Sioux Lookout, but spent most of her life living in Westfort. She married Bob Kamstra in 1971 and they spent 42 happy years together. They enjoyed the summers spent at Whitefish Lake, fishing and boating with grandchildren and socializing with many friends at the camp. She had fond memories of time spent during her childhood years with her extended family in Red Rock, especially June and Harvey Dunville and family.

Darlane loved gardening, playing bingo, knitting, being outdoors and making people laugh. Most importantly, she loved being a grandmother to all of her grandchildren. She always faced life with a cheerful attitude and would see the best in people.

Darlane is survived by her children, Heidi Roche (Tom) and Rob Kamstra; grandchildren: Tricia, Kristy and Ryan Roche, Katerina, Elizabeth, Vincent and Victoria Stolz, Micheal and Mercedes Gregoire, Robbie (Michaela) and Erin Kamstra (Ethan Barton) and Jamie Garrett; sister-in-law Linda Adams and numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert "Bob" Kamstra; her parents Doreen and Phil Adams; brother Kenneth Adams; her daughter Louise Kamstra and brother-in-law Peter Kamstra.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is planned in the summer. Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
