DARLENE LABOUCANE Obituary

DARLENE JEAN LABOUCANE (McGill-Hanchard)
Darlene, age 70, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 in St. Joseph's Hospice with her husband Alan at her side. She was born on November 23, 1953 in Sudbury.

Survived by husband Alan; daughter Krista (Rodolfo), grandson Darcy and granddaughter Georgia; daughter Courtney (Billy) and granddaughter Echo; son Nathan; brother Wayne (Paulette); sister Marilyn; sister Marjorie (Joe); sister Mary (Stuart); sister Dorothy (Rick); mother-in-law Eleanor; sister-in-law Barbara (Steve); brother-in-law Wayne (Sophie); numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives. Last, but not least, furbabies Keiko and Calliope.

Predeceased by parents Hubert and Clara; sister Peggy; brother-in-law Ron; brother-in-law Gary; nephew Joel.

Darlene loved to travel, her two trips to South Florida were her favourite. She was an avid baseball fan, attending many of the local Whiskey Jacks and Border Cats games. She loved to watch the Blue Jays on TV and was able to see a few games live in Toronto. Her kind and generous spirit led her to be a volunteer with Hospice Northwest and other charitable causes. Darlene was an active member of the Thunder Bay Clown Club, serving as treasurer for a number of years. The first persona she developed was Darby but later switched to Chicklet. Clowning brought her great joy.

A celebration of Darlene's life will be held in the Reception hall of Harbourview Funeral Centre on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. with words of tribute being offered at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated.
