The Malinoski family are saddened to announce the passing of their beloved brother and son. Darryl was born in Thunder Bay, attended Conmee School and Westgate High School. He was involved in many sports over the years, baseball, hockey and running marathons. He resided in Etobicoke, where he worked for Air Canada for 34 years. Darryl was a world traveller but by far his favourite destination was Hawaii, where he spent every winter for the past 20 plus years. Darryl had the most unique laugh, you always knew when he was in the room! He often attended Blue Jays games and for many years attending the World Series was an annual event. Camping at Niagara on the Lake was one of his favourite spots, but the annual camping trip to Kabagin Lake with his brothers, nephew and great nephews was a trip Darryl looked forward to every year. Darryl will be lovingly remembered by his mom Dorothy, sister Deb, brothers Kenny, Romain, Tim, sister-in-law Jane and their families. Predeceased by his father Elgin, brother Warren and nephew John. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6 at 10am in St. Theresa's Church in Kakabeka Falls, interment will follow in Conmee Cemetery. Reception will follow at Conmee Community Centre. Donations in Darryl's memory may be made to Sick Kids. One of Darryl's favourite sayings was,

To the Malinoski Family - we want to convey our sincere condolences at this very sad time. The news of Darryl's passing at such a young age left us in disbelief. I have fond memories of Darryl when he worked for my Dad during summer months pumping gas as a high school student. He would eat hot dogs from the restaurant everyday for lunch and keep us all entertained. It was never work when we were on the job together. In later years when travelling through Pearson airport on business or for pleasure it was a real treat to run into Darryl. He always had time for friends and of course an infectious laugh we all know.
To Darryl's friends & colleagues
We were blessed to have shared some of Darryl's life while he was with us!

To The Malinoski Family. We were shocked and very saddened to hear of Darryl's sudden passing. He was taken way too young! Our condolences to you all. We have many great memories of Darryl from our younger years and could always find him by his unforgettable laugh in the Toronto Airport to say hello over coffee. He was a great guy and will be sadly missed. Tim and Donna Surcess

Yesterday we were saddened to learn of Daryl's passing. At times like this it is hard to find words to convey our sympathy. It may help to know that though our words are few we recall many early and happy memories of Darryl and wish to convey our deepest sympathy to the Malinoski family.

Daryl was one of the first Torontonian's that I met as a Canadi>n Airlines new hire (1988) F/A from Vancouver. Daryl was a true gem & a gent~ Always a big smile, a friendly wave, some good laughs & a welcome back. Daryl had my back for many years when I commuted. Whenever I saw Daryl I always admired his enthusiastic spirit, his enduring patience & un wavering professionalism in a stressful airport environment. Nothing ever was too difficult or too much trouble, multi tasking all with ease & class . He had time for everyone, everywhere, even if it was brief, an acknowledgement never went unnoticedI will miss Daryl. My heart felt condolences to his family. ~ Tracy Leyden

Working meet and assist for many years with Darryl was always a distinct pleasure,as during wait times we were able to discuss and debate our favourite sport, baseball.
I always found it incredible that Darryl was able to obtain World Series tickets on spec year after year no matter the venue!
Although retired now for many years,I often thought of Darryl, especially watching blue jay games, and perusing the crowd to see if he was attending.
Darryl, you were taken much to soon';the only consultation is that now you are able to meet with all the greats of the game,I know that you will love that.
Until we meet again, mahalo and aloha my friend!

To the Malinoski Family.
It is with great sadness and un timely passing away of your son Daryl at this tender age. I was hired by Canadian almost the same year as him, and worked along with him for many years prior to my retirement in 2001. He was a very kind fun loving guy that would make time for anyone that needed
help.It was a pleasure sitting besides him as there was never a dull moment. Darl will be missed and remembered by all those that new him.My deepest condolences to the Family and may the good Lord give you the strength to bear the sad loss at this time.

We are also saddened by the lost of a good friend and co worker, Darryl will be missed by all who knew him. Darryl always had a smile on his face, he was helpful, kind and very easy on the eyes! I thought he got better looking as he aged. I was always jealous of his full head of hair. lol He will be remembered by everyone at Air Canada as one of the best. I still can't believe he is gone, so very sad indeed. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Darryl, you are going to keep a whole Hawaiian experience, looking down from way above Diamond Head. Your special seat right above home plate at the World Series, life up above is going to be great. Heaven's gain is our lost. Thank you for the privilege of working together at the airport.
