David is survived by his beloved wife Susan of 60 years, son Robert, daughter Barbara (Hector Dougall), daughter Cathy (Jason Mallon), grandchildren Kristin, Kaitie, Meggie and Annie, in laws Sandy and Honor Shaw, Lyse Burrows, and Edith Bevington. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He is also survived by his childhood best friend Larry (Lois) Devereaux, who joined him in his weekly coffee club with their buddies.

He was predeceased by his parents, David Cullen Burrows and Mary Myrtle Burrows, brothers Jack Burrows (Norma), Dr. Jim Burrows (Nancy), and brothers/sister in law Don and Liz Whalley and Dennis Bevington.
