David Fortin Obituary

David AllenPast away suddenly, while visiting his brother in Sault Ste Marie, August 21, 2010 at the age of 49 years. He was born the youngest of six children to Bert (predeceased) and Dot Fortin (partner Arnold Metcalf). David is survived by his wife Cindy, his daughter, Bonnie (Craig) his son Evan (friend Christine) and his step-daughter Miranda Cada. Also survived by siblings: Frank (Jan) of Wyoming, James, Gail Kelly (Michael) and Billy (Sue) all of Sudbury and Barry of Sault Ste. Marie. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, co-workers and many friends. David was proud of the work he did with the Indian Friendship Centre in Thunder Bay and was an active volunteer board member for the Kinna-aweya Legal Clinic since 2003. He will be remembered for his positive influence and dedication to his family, his community, and his world. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691, R.R. 15, Chelmsford, Friday, August 27, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Chelmsford. Donations (by cheque only) in David's name to the non-profit organizations of either the Thunder Bay Friendship Centre or the Kinna-aweya Legal Clinic."
