David Redden Obituary

Dave, 90 years passed away peacefully at Grandview Lodge on October 9th his home for four years. Dave is survived by Beryl his wife of 59 years, daughter Lynda Milani, husband Terry and two grandchildren Calley Onchulenko who cared deeply for her "Pa" and her husband Al. Ryan Milani and Amber and Mae. His sister Ida Kapush and husband Eddie of Surrey, B.C. Nieces Janie Kapush and daughters Marie and Brenda of Washington, Debbie Rantala & Ken of Surrey. His brother-in-law Mickey Whalen and niece Leone Conchi and Allan, nephews Clifford and Roger Redden, Larry & Brian Redden. Dave was fond of fishing and hunting and did so for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed mounting fish. He was employed at Shipyards and the Provincial Paper. A member of Branch 5 Legion for 47 years. A veteran of the Navy he was a member of the Naval Association. He was predeceased by father William and mother Elizabeth of Current River, his two brothers Jim and wife Mildred, Allan and Agnes. His wish was to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday the 17th at Grandview Lodge on N. Lillie St. at 11 a.m. After the service have coffee with the family. We wish to thank all the people at Grandview "C" wing for all the kindness and care everyone gave Dave and his family over the years. We appreciated this very much. Thanks is so little to say for all the kind people who helped Dave and his family, to the Veteran's Affairs we say thank you for helping Dave and the family. To the telephone ladies at Hagi, all the Hagi drivers, Lynda, Calley and Beryl say thanks. You people went the extra mile for us. If anyone wishes, Dave was hoping they'd find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis and any help for the M.S. Society would be very kind.
