DEBORAH JONAS Obituary
DEBORAH "DEB" JONAS (nee Metz)
Deborah "Deb" Jonas (nee Metz), 67, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre. Deb was predeceased by her parents John and Eila (Ponka) Metz. She is survived by her son Sean (Cindy) Metz; grandson Cayden Metz; brothers Rod and Gary Metz and her best friend Cathy Nousiainen.
Deb was a beautiful, fun-loving person, who will greatly missed. Deb enjoyed coffee and chats with friends, phone calls with her son and grandson and hearing about their many adventures. Deb enjoyed spending time at her family cottage in Lac des Mille Lacs as well as travelling to Nova Scotia to see family. In her younger days, Deb loved the outdoors, and was an accomplished athlete, playing many sports, activities, and spending time with friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CMHA Thunder Bay or the Calvary Lutheran Church in Thunder Bay.
