DEBRA FAULKNER Obituary

DEBRA LEE FAULKNER
Mrs. Debra Lee Faulkner (nee Mintenko) passed away suddenly June 17, 2024, at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital. Born June 10, 1957, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Debra was the middle child of Mike and Viola Mintenko. Debra grew up in Shabaqua and Port Arthur (attending school in Thunder Bay). She attended Lakehead University graduating with a degree in Library Science. One of her favorite jobs was working with her brother Michael and sister-in-law Susan at the Algonquin Public School where she had the position of IT Librarian. In 2004 Debra married her soul mate Bill Faulkner and began travelling the world for 10 years. First was Papua New Guinea, where she sang in a band, Ghana West Africa, and finally Suriname South America. Along the way Debra made many friends, initiating many women world wide into her Beaver Group. Debra was a strong but sensitive woman with a great sense of humor, who fought her way through many health challenges. Deb will be greatly missed by her husband and soul mate Bill, brother Michael (Susan), sister Nicole (Damian), stepdaughter Stacey, nephews Mikael and Micha, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many friends world wide. As per Debra's wishes, no services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future.

My condolences to the family
I met Debbie in the eighties and her heart was full of songs. Always singing and smiling. She also made time to talk to you even when you haven´t seen each other in a long time. You will be missed dearly.

Sincere condolences to Bill & family... it was saddening to hear of Debbie´s passing.... She was my Fiji Buddy for all the years since our travel time together. We made many great memories and remained friends as the years went by and our lives took different paths.... Debbie was a fun and "loved life" person.... Heaven has opened the doors to a "special" lady..

So sad to hear of Debbie´s passing. We worked together at RBC back in the late 80s and the reconnected many years later on Facebook. I´m sorry now we never ended up having that lunch we kept talking about. Debbie was larger than life with a heart of gold and I know how much she´ll be missed. Condolences to Bill and her friends and family.
