Declan Lozinski Obituary

May 15, 2002 – December 18, 2016

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Declan Lozinski. Declan loved to play all sports with a special passion for football. He had loved the many seasons he played with Thunder Bay Minor Football and most recently enjoyed being a part of the Hammarskjold Vikings football family. Nothing brought him more joy than being on the football field. He was an avid Tom Brady and New England Patriots fan often clashing with his brother, uncles and cousins over this. Declan recently became a member of the 2511 LSSR Army Cadets where he enjoyed the military experience. His winters were spent on the hill as an avid snowboarder. His summers were spent at the family camp at Island Lake, where he swam and tubed with his cousins and fished with his good buddy Owen.

Declan was beloved son of Leeanne Lozinski (Brian White); cherished brother of Benton Lozinski; loving grandson of Nana and papa, Moe and Marilyn Lozinski; sadly missed by Aunt Karrin and Uncle Rob Steudle, cousins Tannor, Kellen and Brooklyn Steudle; Great Uncle and Great Aunt Glenn and Pat Williams. Declan is also survived by numerous other relatives, friends and teammates. He was predeceased by great grandparents Reg and Sue Williams.

Funeral Services for Declan will be held at St. Michael's and All Angels Church, 675 Red River Road on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:30 AM with Rev. Barbara Fugelsang officiating. In lieu of flowers donations to Thunder Bay Minor Football at all TD Banks or the Children's Centre Foundation Thunder Bay would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.

I am a army cadet who knew Declan and I just wanted to say he was a nice kind boy who was really passionate about football cadets and anything he liked at the moment he would joke around play around and just be himself most of the time he also really liked being a cadet and he listened intently in all lessons
