DENNIS WIDDIFIELD
The family of Dennis Richard Widdifield sadly announces his passing on August 17, 2025. He passed away peacefully at home at 71 years of age.

Dennis was born on April 28, 1954, in Port Arthur, Ontario. He was a mechanical engineer with a specialization in forestry, mining and biomass processing. While he greatly enjoyed his extensive travels for work, his love was spending time on the farm with his family and pets.

Dennis will be sadly missed by his wife Kathryn; his daughters Elizabeth Widdifield (Justin Britton) and Anne (Ryan) Benninghaus. Dennis was predeceased by his parents Lorne and Lillian.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the first responders and to the staff of Harbourview Funeral Centre for their dedicated care during this difficult time.

In keeping with the family's wishes, no visitation or formal funeral service is planned. Cremation has taken place with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Donations may be made in his memory to the Northwestern Ontario Military and Police Museum or the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society.

Very shocked to hear the news about my first cousin Dennis´s passing.
I remember how we flew to Thunder Bay and picked up a car Denny had for us, drove back to Ottawa.
Denny visited us in Ottawa in his younger days, took him to Disco on the Quebec side of the river...fun times. Of course the Seal family made many trips toTB over the years, always visiting Denny´s mother Lillian, a beautiful person.
I also remember visiting the farm with my parents, Beatrice and Edward Seal, Denny´s uncle and Aunt, and my sister Susan with her three young boys, we rode the horses.
That was our last meeting.
Wishing the Widdefield Family our deepest sympathies and we will keep his memories with us.
