Dieter Voss Obituary
Mr. Dieter John Voss born January 1, 1946 passed away at the age of 66 with his family by his side on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the T.B.R.H.S.C. John had a long battle with both heart and kidney diseases. He emigrated to Canada from Germany at the age of 12. He obtained his mechanical license and worked for Great Lake Forest Product as a mechanical superintendent. He then became a master mechanic for multiple mining companies. John spent many years in Ghana as a mechanical engineer, later being promoted to deputy manager for Ashanti Gold Mines. He liked outdoor activities and spending time with his family and friends. He served in the military, achieving multiple awards. He is survived by his wife Mary, his two children Daniel and Gloria, son from a past marriage David and his wife Diana, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of John's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Branch No.149, 730 Simpson Street on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street. "
