Domenico Curciarello

1933 - 2018

Mr. Domenico Curciarello, age 85 years, passed away peacefully at Roseview Manor on Monday, July 30, 2018. Domenico was born in Siderno Marina, Calabria, Italy on April 15, 1933, the son of Giuseppe and Immacolata Curciarello. He came to Canada in 1958, returning to Italy for a short time where he met his wife Pina Stalteri whom he married on March 9, 1968. Together they raised their three children. In younger days Domenico worked in the pulp and paper industry and later in construction. He was an avid walker, enjoyed working in his garden and especially looked forward to spending winter months in Puerto Vallarta with his wife Pina. His greatest joy came during time spent with family, especially with his grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife Pina, daughter Rosetta (John) Kolic and their children Luka and Gabriella, sons Antonio and Giuseppe, sister Teresina, sister-in-law Giovanna as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Girolamo and Francesco, and sisters Maria, Rosa and Angela. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 when family and friends will gather in St. Anthony's R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Luigi Filippini. The interment service will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. with the Vigil Service beginning at 7 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street. In lieu of flowers memorials to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.
