LUCKY, DON May 16, 1934 - April 10, 2025
Donald John Lucky passed away peacefully at home in Calgary, AB, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the age of 90 years. He was surrounded by his wife, Carol Lucky, and a few cherished Cole family members.

Born on May 16, 1934, in Saint Boniface, MB, Don was an entrepreneur, mentor, and leader. In 1958, he began a remarkable journey as Owner and President of Cole International. Through his unwavering leadership and vision, the company grew into a respected name in the logistics industry, employing over 700 people across Canada and the United States, which he fondly referred to as his Cole family. He remained actively involved with his company until his final days.

Don is survived by his two sons, one daughter, and one stepson; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters. He was predeceased by his brother, his mother Mary Peters, and his father John Lucky.

Don leaves behind a strong legacy. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his extended Cole family, a community of colleagues and friends he inspired every day.

Don was a wonderful man. I didn't know him very long but I could tell he cared about people especially Carol. Sending my love and prayers to the family he will be deeply missed
