The family of Donald Thomas Moore wish to announce his passing from this world on October 14, 2025 in the caring embrace of his daughter Kathleen and his son Daniel. He is met by his mother Elsa, father Thomas, brothers Harold and David, and son Thomas. He will be reunited with his wife, Margaret Judith Moore on Thursday, October 23, 2025 for a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sargent and Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street. We would like to invite his friends and loved ones to celebrate him and his wife with an Irish Wake after which he will be buried with his wife at Sunset Memorial Gardens close to their families.
When a person lives 90 years it is impossible to list all of their accomplishments. We can all agree that Donald was a man that would stand up for you, he was a man that believed in doing the right thing no matter what. He cared for people and animals and I can't imagine all the love he will receive from the animals he has saved and loved through his years.
Many of you will remember him from his years as a Conductor for CP Rail and as their Union President. You may recall his years as Proprietor with his wife Judy of Leisure Lanes in Westfort. Donald and Judy spent many years travelling for the winters down south in their motor home and enjoyed summers at Pass Lake.
Donald passed through this life with great dignity in the face of many challenges and always maintained a positive outlook. He always said he wanted to live forever! And he will in the memories of those of us left behind to grieve.
He was the final member of his immediate family to pass, yet he will live on through his granddaughter Erika (Dana) and great grandchildren Kohen, Emila, and Isabelle. His daughter-in law- Susan and her children; grandson Dylan and granddaughter Lauren (Las Vegas), His sister- in-law Patricia and her children; nephew Robert (Joanna) Moore and their children Jordan (Kelsey) their child Maddy and Jeremy, his niece Sherri (Jonathan) Kalabanka and their children Chloe, Leah, and Kaitlyn as well as his sister-in -aw Linda Pike and her children Lynn and Patrick.
Don and Judy will be remembered by many friends they have made over their lives and we look forward to celebrating with you on Thursday.
