In addition, Donald is survived by many relatives in Canada, The United Kingdom, Australia, and India.

Donald was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Mary Watson, his sister Avis, his brothers John and George, his niece Cristine and his nephew Keith.

Donald's family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, particularly the very caring personnel on the Hospice Unit.

Our deepest condolences to Doreen, Peter & Janice and your entire family. Don was best man at my Dad´s wedding. They were friends from India and remained in contact all these many years. My favourite memory was that moment before "Uncle Don" (as we called him), got a twinkle in his eye before he´d share a story about my Dad from the old days. The trouble those two got up to! My Dad, Carl and my Mum, Kathleen are sending love to all of you as you keep close the countless memories of a great man and a wonderful life well lived. Much love, Sharon, Glen & Lee xo

Condolences to Doreen and family on Don's passing. We met Don and Doreen in our Thunder Bay years through their son Peter who was friends with my older brother Paul. Don was a consumate gentleman and like many from his era too many have gone. We appreciated when he and Doreen came to pay respects at our Mom's memorial. RIP Don.

I am sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was one of the kindest and most friendly person i have ever met. I knew him and Doreen from the cross country ski community. I remember him telling me the story when he brought his family to Thunder Bay. He was told it was "God's country". He will be missed. The world needs more men like Don.

I will truly miss Don. I enjoyed his company on the trails both skiing and snowshoeing. He always had a smile for his friends. I'm sure he is busy visiting, skiing and golfing. The three amigos are together again.

Doreen and family - Remembering all the fun work years with Don ( and George). On Family day a group of us from Engineering cross country skied at Kamview. I was terrible at it and held people back but each time I fell Don waited a bit ahead to make sure I got up and caught up to the rest of them. He always had a ready laugh and that twinkle in his eye. He will always be remembered as a big part of my Engineering family. Thinking of you Doreen at such a sad time.
