It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mother Donna Andrea Hewson, age 66, on January 31, 2016. Born in Fort William on September 28, 1949 to Pearl and Andrew Hewson. She is survived by her 4 children Kevin Hladysh, Lisa (Russell) Tienhaara, Keith Hladysh, and Nikolas Hewson. Grandchildren Andrew and Kaley Tienhaara, Emma (Hladysh) Debnam, Brianna and Brooklyn Hladysh (Oinonen) and Chloee and Colten Hladysh (Couzelis). Also survived by sisters Janet Hewson and Lorna (Ernie) Morrison, and brother William (Janice) Hewson. Predeceased by her sisters June Hewson and Evelyn Partington, as well as her parents. Andrea attended Francis Street and Kingsway schools and graduated from Selkirk High School. Worked at Calgary Medical Laboratories, Canada Employment and Immigration, and Bombardier prior to her final love of breeding and grooming dogs. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, voting member of the C.K.C. and Connaught Lodge #9 Order of the Eastern Star. Her family, close friends, her cocker spaniels and shih tzu's, crafts, gardening, journaling, dancing and travel were what she loved the most. With respect to our mother's wishes, cremation has taken place, and her celebration of life will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Andrea can be made to any local animal rescue or shelter.

We were shocked to see the obit in the paper. Angie was always kind to us and our little furry friend Maggie 2 but more importantly she was beyond kind to her family. She supported them all in various ways over the years and they must all be saddened to be dealing with her passing.

To my cousins, Lisa, Kevin, Keith and Nick.
I am so sad to hear about your Mom and my Aunt. I remember how proud your Mom was of all of you. She has sent me pictures & letters telling me how you all made her so happy and proud. May your memories help you through this difficult time. Take care.
Love, Pamela Ewtushik

There will be an empty chair at the holiday table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
