REV. DOREEN LANKSHEAR-SMITH (1932 ~ 2025)
Rev. Doreen Lankshear-Smith passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay on 10 November 2025, at the age of 93.

Born in Dorset, England, Doreen emigrated to Canada in the 1960s, where she built a rich and meaningful life devoted to Scouting, court reporting, and ministry. A graduate of Lakehead University and the University of Winnipeg, she was an ordained minister of the United Church of Canada and a published hymn-writer, sharing her faith, kindness, and compassion widely.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Linda (Anthony) and David (Janet), and her grandchildren London, Hayden, and Lexi. Predeceased by husband Bill.

Family, friends, parishioners, and colleagues in ministry are warmly invited to share memories at a small service and afternoon tea in her honour, to be held at First-Wesley United Church, Buckley Hall, 130 Brodie St N, Thunder Bay, on Sunday, November 16, from 1:00~3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay.
