Doris Katherine Woodbeck, age 75 years passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 27, 2021 in St. Joseph's Hospital – Hospice unit with her loving family by her side. Doris was born January 10, 1946, in Port Arthur to parents George and Lucine Hamlin. Doris enjoyed doing puzzles, playing online games but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her 3 grandchildren whom she cherished so very much. Many wonderful memories were made sitting around the table with her husband Larry, daughter Sherry and her grandchildren as they played cards and board games. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her husband Lawrence, daughter Sherry, grandchildren Dawson, Emma and Becca, sisters Susan (Bill) and Margaret, brothers Jim, Terry, David (Wendy), Jack, Eddie (Lorie) and Charlie (Sue). She was predeceased by her son Brian, parents George and Lucine Hamlin, sisters Georgina, Linda and Rose, brothers Norman, Larry, Fred, Philip, George and Donny. A celebration of Doris' life will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. On Friday, December 3, 2021 in the Sargent Family Reception Centre, 21 N. Court Street. Due to Covid restrictions, proof of full vaccination, proper identification and mask wearing are required to attend the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Fund, St. Joseph's Foundation of Thunder Bay.
