Douglas Duffield Obituary

DUFFIELD, Douglas It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Duffield, August 5th, 2014, age 76 years. Doug worked for Seafarers' International as a Seaman, later becoming a First Mate Wheelsman until he retired on the M.V. Tadoussac in 2002. Doug loved his partner Diane, his dogs, reading, crossword puzzles and politics. He was an active member of the Seafarers' International Union of Canada. Doug is predeceased by his parents Rosetta and Gordon Duffield and his brother Leo Duffield. Doug will be greatly missed by his partner Diane Weatherby, Rick Duffield (Marielle), Emily and Serge Iazzolino, Alf (Laura Lee) Weatherby, Mike and Susan Weatherby; grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and family down East. Doug will go to his resting place at a later date. Friends and family are welcome to a celebration of life for Doug on Monday, August 11th, 2014 from 6pm - 8pm at 518 Dawson Street. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.On-line condolences may be made through www.nwfainc.com "
