Douglas John Thompson, age 66, of Thunder Bay, Ontario passed away January 27, 2026 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; son, Kyle (Marlena); step-sons, Jamie Shaughnessy (Carrie), and Ronald Shaughnessy (Paul); grandsons, Damian and Declan Thompson, and Finley Shaughnessy.

We are shocked and saddened hearing this news. We remember many times when Doug helped us out and set the record straight doing it. "FFS You are a carpenter - why did you try to fix this engine without calling me?" He will be missed. Our deepest condolences.
