Dwight Jansen

Dwight died peacefully on March 12, 2011 at Abbotsford's Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre in the Tertiary Palliative Care Unit, after a courageous battle with terminal cancer, with his family at his side. Dwight will be forever missed but lovingly remembered his stepson Ben Duhamel, sons Jesse (Joanne), Joshua (Stephanie), Sam, his grandson Noah Jansen, his parents Ria and Jim Jansen and siblings of Abbotsford BC. Dwight was a respected son in law to Denis Duhamel (Carole Elliot) of Atikokan ON and Rose O'Connor (Ron Mondor) of Rainy River ON, a favorite brother in law to Denis (Kathy), Justin (Nathalie) and Ron (Michelle) Mondor and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to Rainy River ON (the last left before the Baudette bridge) on August 13, 2011 @ 11:00 a.m. to fulfill Dwight's wishes that his ashes be spread on the sunny side of Sable Island. This involves a short boat ride, which will be provided. If at all possible, bring your boat along, the fishing is good. A fish fry back at Rose and Ron's will follow, so bring your tents or campers, life jackets, lawn chairs and favourite beverages.
