Edward Pawlicki Obituary

With deep sorrow the family of Edward Ralph Pawlicki announces that he passed away on Wednesday July 27, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospice Unit after a courageous battle with cancer. Dad was born January 8, 1925 in Dauphin, Manitoba. He was raisedin the Pas, Manitoba where he met and married the love of his life Stella. They raised three children in Fort Frances and in Fort William, Ontario. Dad was employed as a printer at the Chronicle Journal until his retirement in 1990. He will always be remembered for his graceful dancing, wonderful sense of humour, generosity and big heart He was a member of the Elks Lodge and enjoyed 10 pin bowling and playing pool. Dad was an avid woodworker and sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, but his greatest joys in life were his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dad is survived by his children Sandra Novak (Alfred) of Kitchener, Ontario, Debra Robb (Stephen) of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and Edward Pawlicki Jr. . (Tracy) of Thunder Bay, Ontario. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brandi LeClair (Jason), Cindy Robb, Kathy and Aaron Novak, Matthew, Meagan, and Emily Pawlicki and great grandchildren Tristen Robb, Darrien and Emma LeClair. Dad is also survived by his sister Josephine Saxbee of Langley, B.C. , and many dear relatives throughout Canada. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Stella, his parents Michael and Anne, his brothers Frank and Leo, his sister Jenny and his infant grandson Joshua. At Dad's request, cremation has taken place and will be followed by a private family internment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or tSunset Memorial Gardens, 920 Tungsten St. , Suite 204, Thunder Bay, Ontario, P7B 5Z6 for a memorial tree with plaque that will be planted at Sunset Memorial Gardens in memory of Dad. A celebration of his life will be held at the Elks Lodge at a later date for family and friends.We will miss you always and love you forever Dad. We will gaze to the stars, see you and Mom dancing together once again and know that everything is 'kopacetic'."
