Edward Benoit Potvin

1938 - 2018

Edward Benoit Potvin passed away peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2018. Eddie was born in Fort William on March 13, 1938, and was raised and spent his life on Island #2 at his lifelong home. He was a kind and gentle soul who always had a smile for everyone. Eddie spent his early years working at the Royal Edward Hotel, and later at Powell Equipment until he retired. Eddie is survived by 13 of his siblings: Eugene of Victoria B.C., Alice Ward, Yvonne Fraser (Les), Julian, Emil (Ann), Arthur (Barbara), Mary-Ann Erickson of Tomahawk WI, Alfred (Heather), Rose Marie Hall, Dan (Lenore) of Port Elgin, ON, Jerry, Elizabeth, Jimmy (Debbie). Eddie was predeceased by his father Eugene in 1978, his mother Blondine in 2001, and by brothers Phillip, Joseph and Albert. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. As per Eddie's wish a service will not be held. Donation may be made to a charity of your choice if desired.
