EEVA HOLOPAINEN Obituary
HOLOPAINEN
Mrs. Eeva Holopainen, age 87 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 9, 2026 at the TBRHSC. She was born in March 1938 in Kuopio, Finland. Eeva is survived by her husband of 68 years, Veijo, daughter Rita (Dean) and son John (Carrie), her grandchildren Heather (Jason), Cathy (Cory) and Erik. She was a very proud great grandmother to Jordyn, Joshua, Suvi, Lilah, Serena and Sadie, who were fortunate to have shared many special moments with her. She is also survived by sister-in-law Helli and brother-in-law Pentti and numerous nieces and nephews. Eeva was predeceased by her son Peter, brother Pentti, best friend Ritva and son-in-law Dean. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 19 at 11:00am at Hilldale Lutheran Church. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Hilldale Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
