John, Joanne and families,

For no apparent reason at all, I was thinking about Beth on Sunday, wondering how she was doing, then I stumbled across her obituary today. Very sad to hear of her passing.

I am sure you all have many shared and personal memories of her and will look back on those with fondness and a sense of gratitude for her place in your lives.

Please know that my thoughts are with you.

To Brent (Breanne) Vernon, Reagan, Mia and family. My condolences and heartfelt sympathies on the passing of Beth, your mom and grandmother. That's a great photo of your mom and brings back memories of all those wonderful summers we spent at Loon.

All the best going forward, Rob

Mrs. Fiddler taught me grade 2 at Ogden School back in the early 70s. When we would sing, to help me sing the higher notes, she would gently tug upward on the top of my ear and say 'sing higher Timmy' She was a great teacher. Was glad to get an update about her from her younger sister's condolence. R.I.P. Mrs Fiddler.

I will miss my older sister, Beth. She was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and teacher. She was kind, loved being a mother, and enjoyed teaching. She loved music, and leading school and church choirs. Beth also enjoyed her summers at Loon Lake. It was fun when her sons were there, and my younger children were there too. I also enjoyed the visits she made to my home, in the area south of North Bay. One summer we visited Lofoten Islands where our Norwegian grandparents grew up and Oslo. We also visited England to see where our other relatives had lived in Birmingham. The past five years have been difficult for Beth, and coming to the Seniors residence was a good place for her. She has always enjoyed visitors. However recently she has been mostly in bed, and often sleeping. Her time has come - Thanks for your Life, Beth.

So sorry for your loss. Ms Fiddler was one of my favourite teachers.

She taught me that 'all good things come in small packages..especially dynamite'. These words of wisdom got me through a lot of tough years. RIP Ms Fiddler...thank you:)
