ELIZABETH WILSON Obituary

ELIZABETH WILSON
(The LORD's) compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22, 23
After a lengthy and difficult battle with dementia, our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Elizabeth Grace (Kellough) Wilson, left us peacefully in the early morning hours of June 6, 2024, her own personal D(eliverance)-Day, with family by her side.

Born in Fort William on September 30, 1957, Liz leaves to mourn her loving husband, Wade, her sons Jesse (Shannon) and Joel (Amy), grandchildren Wesley, Olivia, Brooklyn, Clara, Louis, Wren and Tate; her stepsons Dr. David (Dr. Jammie Tosevski), Stephen, and Jonathan (Jacklyn), step-grandson Harvey, sisters Laura (Mike) Dudley and Alison (Gordon) Robinson, numerous nieces and nephews, and her life-long best friend, Susan Childs. She was predeceased by her parents, Bub and Helen Kellough (of Dairybest).

To all of Liz's nurses on 1 North, Daffodil Unit, in Hogarth Riverview Manor, her family wishes to extend a deeply sincere and heartfelt thanks, and especially to Jen and Jenny! You have made this difficult journey beautiful in so many ways.

A private family Graveside Service will be held at a later date. Should anyone wish to give a donation in honour of Elizabeth's memory, donations to Grace Place would be greatly appreciated. Grace Place always had a special spot in Liz's heart.

How did we love you, Lizzie? Let me count a few ways ~ Your generous spirit, And helping hands Your love of all kids But especially the grands! Your sympathetic nature For those in need Your blast of laughter, Infectious indeed! Your baking -- prolific And shared all around Muffins and cookies Year-round did abound! Your visible excitement When really pleased (Like eating that square of butter When you thought it was cheese!) Your visits to family Living a distance away The excitement you brought-- Wasn't it only just yesterday? So, for today and for tomorrow, The many that will come, We'll remember the laughter, The good times, and the fun! xoxo "We loved her, but God loves her even more. We can love God for that, and for so much more."

Liz was a special woman, that's for sure. In our years at Grace Church she went out of her way often to ensure we felt loved and included in the community. She was beautiful inside and out. Grace and peace to you during this time. We've made a donation to Grace Place in her name.

I haven't seen Liz in several years, but remember her well from my childhood. She was always really nice to me. I lost my own mother 14 years ago and I know what an ache you are all feeling... we've made a donation in her name to Grace Place and wish you all the best.

My heartfelt condolences to Wade and family .
I was lucky enough to have known Liz from when she would bring in baking for
Mr. Schwandt (his favourite was Liz's matrimonial squares ) and other staff at the Fort William Clinic many many years ago. Liz's beautiful smile would light up a room . Heaven has definitely received another angel.
" Remember me with smiles
and laughter.
For that's the way I'll
remember you all"
