ELLEN COOMBS Obituary

COOMBS, ELLEN MARGARET
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15th at Hogarth Riverview Manor. Left to mourn are her husband of 55 years, Lorne, sons David (Tanya) and Geoffrey (Devin). Her sisters Diane Hubka (Larry), Mary Pye (Al), Donna Zorzes (Fabio), Pamela Crego Fox (Greg) and Audra. Brother-in-law Joe (Roberta) and sister-in-law Betty Franklin (Frank). Her Grandsons Max & Victor and numerous nephews & nieces. Predeceased by her parents Stephen and Ada Kavanagh and in-laws Josiah & Annie Coombs. Ellen was born August 23, 1951 on Bell Island, Newfoundland. Ellen & Lorne moved to Thunder Bay in 1976 where they found a new home and a beautiful area to start a family. She was a stay-at-home Mom until her two boys started school and then worked for the Catholic School Board as a secretary at various schools, retiring in 2008. She was kind and generous, always quick to help anyone who needed it with a smile, an excellent baker, and loved a game of cards or any time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
