ERIN OSESKY Obituary

December 27, 1954 ~ June 23, 2025
It is with heavy hearts the family of Erin Osesky announce the sudden passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt on June 23rd, 2025. Erin was born in Port Arthur, Ontario and grew up in Geraldton, Ontario. She went on to graduate from Confederation College and then Lakehead University in Social Work. She was known not only for her brilliance and skill as a Social Worker, but for her empathy, compassion, and dedication to helping others. This was evident in her everyday work with both her clients and her coworkers at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre. Her coworkers describe her as not only a friend but family. Erin was also a devoted daughter and helped care for her father in his final years. She was respected and loved by many friends, and enjoyed community events and travelling with them. Erin's kind and compassionate nature was most evident when it came to her children and her grandson. Her deep love and adoration for them was apparent by how Erin's eyes would sparkle with pride when she spoke of them to others. She is survived by her three children, Adam, Nicolas, and Jessica (Graeme) and beautiful Grandson Grey. They were the loves of her life. She is also survived by sisters Maureen (Jim), Sheila (Kevin), and Kim (Ronnie), their children and grandchildren, and her many cousins. She is predeceased by her long time partner Brent, her parents Mary and Ted Osesky, and her brother Ted Jr. Osesky. Erin will be so deeply missed by her family, friends, and coworkers. We are all comforted to know that her kind and funny spirit lives on in her children and Grandson. A celebration of life luncheon will take place July 4, 2025 at noon at the Slovak Legion, 801 Atlantic Ave, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Followed by interment at 3pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3200 Oliver Rd, Thunder Bay, Ontario.

I am deeply saddened and completely shocked to learn of Erin´s passing.
I have been Erin´s hairstylist for the last five years, every month we have been having wonderful visits while I keep her bangs as teeny tiny as she loved them.
I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about her family, she talked about you all so much and with such love. Especially, baby Grey! She showed me all the latest videos, bursting with pride.
It was evident that she was an extremely generous and loyal friend, a quality to be admired. Not everyone is lucky enough to have an "Erin" in their corner.
I´m going to miss teasing her about being the "Queen of Hairspray", all our enthusiastic conversations around the universe, it´s magic and all things spooky.
Sending my love to each of her loved ones.
I miss her already.

Erin was my first friend when we moved to Geraldton. Grade 2! There are many things we forget as we get older. Such a kind, fun person like Erin is someone you can never forget. We bonded immediately. We lost touch but I will never forget the best friendship I ever had when we were so young. My heart is with you Erin. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My deepest condolences to Erin´s family as they mourn her loss. Erin was a fierce advocate for her patients on the Transitional Care Unit at HRM. I welcomed our conversations when I was at the TCU completing my work. It was always a pleasure sitting down with Erin to brainstorm about the best interest of patients. She will be missed.
