FILIPPO SUDANO
Mr. Filippo Sudano, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2023 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Filippo was born August 1, 1937 in Corleto Monforte, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1967 and shortly after began working for INCO in Sudbury, Ontario, until he retired in 1991. He enjoyed reading his bible and worshiping his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Filippo is survived by his wife Daphne of near 60 years and two children Giovanni (Rebecca) and Malcy (John Beardy). He was the proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren: Dominic, Liam, Jordan, Johnathan, Ethan and Mia.
The family of Filippo would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the TBRHSC, for their kindness and care during Filippo's hospitalization. Thank you to Pastor Nancy and staff from the Salvation Army Fellowship, for support and counsel. We would also like to thank the many who dropped in to show support and just be there. As well as, Harbourview Funeral Centre and Sunset Memorial Gardens for their assistance in arranging all the details.
Filippo's family will hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 16, 2023 beginning at 11:00 am, followed by a small time of fellowship at the Salvation Army Thunder Bay Community Church, 2621 Victoria Avenue, East. A private interment service at Sunset Memorial Gardens will be held at 2:00 pm for family.
