Florence Pichette Obituary

March 15, 1928 – April 2, 2017

My dear wife has gone to be with the angels on April 2, 2017. She was born in Annapolis Royal, NS on March 15, 1928 and received her education at Annapolis Royal Academy. She raised nine children, whom she dearly loved and spent much time with them playing ball, making hockey rinks and being a great part of their lives. In later years, she worked for Simpson Sears for two years. She was employed at Eaton's for 25 years in the accounts office. She was a member of the CWAC (Militia) Lake Superior Scottish Regiment for five years. She attained the rank of Sgt. associated with the Filter Centre. She met "the love of her life" Lloyd and they were married September 30th, 1978. These were the happiest days of her life. She gained six lovely step-children and a wonderful, kind and loving husband. She enjoyed fishing, carpentry, masonry and landscaping. Her extensive flower garden was her therapy! She loved to knit, crochet, quilt and do crafts. She was predeceased by her parents Thera and Griffin Bauckman, Nova Scotia, sister Marjorie and husband George Batchelder, Thunder Bay, brother Ralph Bauckman, Nova Scotia, daughter Barbara Ann Berry, Squamish BC, son-in-law Joe Adamkowski, Thunder Bay, brothers-in-law Gordon and Leonard Pichette, Nipigon, daughter Karen, PEI, and son Kevin, Toronto. She leaves her loving husband Lloyd, her children (Berry): Brian (Carol) (Tracey, Jennifer), Sheila, Toronto (Tina), Barbara's children Pamela, Bradley, Corey, BC, Sharon (Shannon, Charlene) BC, Bradley (Karen, Michael), Karen's daughters Melanie, Caroline, Craig (Desi, Nathan, Vanessa), Thunder Bay, Michelle (Adamkowski) (Fallon, Jonathon, Lindy); six step-children (Pichette): Wayne (Sylvia), Tim (Geraldine), Linda (Dan), Gary (Bonnie), Michael (Laura), Brenda (Brad), who she felt were just as nice as their dad; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family. It is Florence's wish to be cremated and have her passing as simple as possible. In lieu of flowers, please choose a charity of your choice.

In her words:
“I thank God for having
a wonderful life on Earth.”
