Frank Delvecchio Obituary

Delvecchio August 7, 1926 â€" October 4, 2013 It is with sadness that the family of Frank Delvecchio announces his passing at home on October 4, 2013, after a lengthy illness. Frank was born and raised in Fort William, Ontario. He studied at George Brown College in Toronto to become a Dental Technician and began his practice owning and operating a successful, commercial dental lab in Thunder Bay. He later became a Denturist and continued his practice at his Denture Therapy Clinic. He was very dedicated to and took great pride in his work. He had an extremely strong work ethic, and his office was open six days a week for 60 years. Poor health forced him to retire at age 78. He built and maintained the family cottage at Dog Lake and he cherished spending summers there with his family. Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Millie; his daughters, Debbie, Karyn (Macgillivray) and Francine (Mody); two grandchildren, Duncan and Emily Macgillivray and two great grandchildren, Kainaan and Xavier (Macgillivray); sister, Elsie Angers (Sarnia, Ontario) and brother, Alex (Detroit, Michigan). He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Anne, his sister, Laura (Sawchuk) and brother, Tony. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family funeral will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory can be made to a charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Frank Delvecchio in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 8, 2014.
