Frank John Potocnik, CPA

December 16, 2024

When I was a young boy, my father Raymond "Buddy" Potocnik, took me, my brother Joe, and my mom, Arlene, on a road trip from the Iron Range in Minnesota to Thunder Bay. That was well over 50 years ago and thus I do not recall why my Dad choose to go to Thunder Bay for a family outing.

Whenever, my father traveled to other parts of the United States and in this particular circumstance to Canada, he would always check the local telephone directory (i.e., phone book) to see if there were any "Potocnik's" living there.

On this trip, he found your father, Frank Potocnik. My dad called him from our hotel/motel as there were no cell phones back then. He graciously invited our family over to his house and studio. I have always remembered staring at the multitude of carvings your father had on display. It amazed me as he and I shared the exact same name.

I am hoping that one of you see this and reach out to me. I am living in one of the suburbs in Minneapolis/ St. Paul (aka the Twin Cities). Would love to take my own road trip to Thunder Bay and cross paths with you siblings (Kathy, Rick and Anthony).

Be blessed and wishing your families all a very Merry 2024 Christmas and Holiday season.

Sincerely,

Frank Potocnik
