Frank Tropea Sr.

It is a year now since you have been gone, yet still you are with us. We hear your voice and see your smile, feel your presence and know you will never leave. We see you shine as the tomatoes bloom and hear your laughter with every cast of a line. We know we are safe walking on the steps you built and the stone you laid.

Each of us takes a moment now and then to talk to you, to recall with you a special time or a secret joke, or to remind you to clean those crumbs off the couch. Your wisdom and advice are there for us to draw on. Your patience and willingness to listen never ending. We know you are tending a beautiful garden to share with us when we join you again.

We think of the full church and the long line-up to say good bye to you and we know you touched all of them as you touched us. That the life you modelled for those you met was a life well lived. One where joy, true joy, was achieved through the happiness and helping of others.

We were, we are, blessed to love you.
