Frederick Erickson

1938 - 2018

Frederick “Fred” John Erickson, age 80 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in TBRHSC.

Fred was born on March 2, 1938 and was raised in Murillo, the eldest of three children born to Roy and Johanna Erickson. His career was made in forestry, working in various bush camps until his retirement. Fred loved the outdoors, spending time with his dog Bailey, cutting firewood, hunting and fishing with friends, tending to his garden – but Wednesday nights were reserved for Bingo!

Fred will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Maurice (Beverley); sister, Ingrid Siciliano; nieces and nephews Karen Payetta (Bruce, Valerie and Janelle), David (Stacey and Brody), Shelley Landry (Raymond and Miranda), Cheryl Joaquim (Arty, Nicholas and Julian) and Brent Siciliano.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of TBRHSC, 3A and ICU who took such great care of our brother Fred, Especially Lindsay and Kathleen for their exceptional care. Our family is eternally grateful.

A private family graveside service will be held in Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. Arrangements in care of the Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations in memory of Uncle Fred may be made to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society.
