FRIEDA STANKEVICIUS Obituary

FRIEDA STANKEVICIUSIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother at home on July 5th, 2011 with her family by her side. Frieda was born on August 15th, 1920 in Pöbneck, Germany. She met her husband Antanas during the war and married in 1945. She came to Canada in 1951 to reunite with her husband Tony, who came two years earlier. Family was the most important thing in Frieda's life. She worked in the hospitality industry, most of that time at the Royal Edward Hotel, retiring in 1986. She will be sadly missed by sons Peter (Millie), Alex (Darlene), Bryan (Laurent), daughters Maria (Jim Johnson), Monika (George Milne), Susan (Allan McMillan), grandchildren Steven Stankevicius (Lisa), Marni Sinclair, Susan Milne, Caroline Lossky (Daniel) and great grandchild Basile Lossky. She was predeceased by son Tony (1972) and husband Tony (2003). At this time the family wishes to thank everyone involved in caring for mom. Thanks to the CCAC workers, Bayshore nurses Paula, Sarah and Kathleen and special thanks to Nelly. As per mom's wishes, there will be no service. A private family interment will take place at a later date. On line condolences may be made through www.nwfainc.com "
