Gary Ager Obituary

1944 - 2022

It is with profound sadness that the family of Gary Ager (Peachie)  announce his peaceful passing in hospital, on Monday, January 10th at the age of 77 with his family by his side.

Born in Fort William, he lived in Hymers for many years.  He worked for CP Rail for 33 years, retiring as a Conductor in 1994. Gary and Margaret then travelled throughout the United States in their motorhome, enjoying dirt track racing and their Harley, for many years before returning to Thunder Bay where he worked for Auto Parts Central until 2018.  He enjoyed his Timmies, his cars, especially muscle cars and most recently his quad and his red 33 Ford hotrod.  He was  always puttering in the garage cleaning and polishing his babies.  He had the biggest assortment of cleaning supplies, always trying the latest and greatest and as everyone who knew Gary, there was never a spec of dirt on his toys!!

Gary will be lovingly remembered by Margaret, his wife of 53 years; his 2 daughters, Tobi (Nick) and Jodi Graham; grandson Krystopher Graham (Harleigh) and new great granddaughter - born one hour after his passing; brother Len; 2 sisters, Sharon and Janice; nephews Bradley and Rodney; plus numerous other family members. Predeceased by his parents and 1 sister. He will be dearly missed by his buddies at Timmies.

At Gary's request, no service will be held. However, there will be an open house at a later date.  Memorial donations in Gary's name can be made to TBRHSC (Vascular Surgery), Easter Seals Ontario or the MS Society. Arrangements are in care of SIMPLER TIMES CREMATION CENTRE - 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bukovy for his personal touch, as well as Dr. Osman and his PA Victor, from the Vascular Department. We'd also like to thank the Drs. and nurses who took such incredible care of him at the end.
