GARY SMITH Obituary

GARY A. SMITH
Gary (Smitty/Smokey), aged 69, passed away peacefully while holding the hand of his sweetheart, Rosanne Myslicki, on July 26, 2025. Gary had many family members surrounding him at TBRHSC. The family appreciated all the visits, phone calls and support that they received while Gary was ill. He was born April 27, 1956 to Harry and Theresa (Adduono) Smith in Fort William and raised in Westfort. Gary retired as a millwright after 38 years at Great Lakes Paper mill. In his younger years he loved to camp. In his recent years he enjoyed going to casinos. He was a people person, who never forgot a family member, co-worker or friend. His greatest joy was "catching up" with who he was fortunate enough to see. Gary is survived by Rosanne and his siblings: Lorna MacAskill (Scott), Wayne (Kim), Cathy (Dave Niemi), Sheldon (Cindy), Andy (Gina), Darren (Karen Bester). The Myslicki Clan: Joe Jr. (Michael Wilding), David (Susan), Stan (Lois), Cathy Hicks (John), Bob Tuck, Brent and Robert. He is survived by several extended family members. He was predeceased by parents, Harry and Theresa Smith, in-laws Joe and Sophie Myslicki; Holly Tuck and Adam Myslicki. Cremation has taken place with a private family gathering at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Northern Cardiac Fund at TBRHSC.
